Make a Berry Bowl (One-Day Workshop)

Fresh berries taste better when served from something you made yourself. In this creative, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the art of crafting a functional ceramic berry bowl (also known as a fruit colander) from scratch—no pottery wheel required!

All levels welcome! Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned clay enthusiast, you'll find this project rewarding.

We will explore fundamental hand-building techniques to transform a simple slab of clay into a beautiful, perforated vessel. During this class, you will:

  • Construct your berry bowl using a mold to create a consistent, sturdy bowl shape.

  • Learn the secrets to mapping out and piercing clean, decorative holes that allow water to drain perfectly while keeping your fruit secure.

  • Add your person flair! Practice attaching hand-rolled feet or elegant handles to give your bowl stability and style.

  • Surface Detailing: Use stamps, textures, or carving tools to customize the exterior of your piece.

Maximum of 8 students in this class.

At least 3 people must be enrolled in the class for the class to run.

Ages 14+

Note: This is a one day, 2 hour class. You’ll pick up your finished pieces 3-4 weeks after the class.

If you need to cancel your booking and would like a full refund we require 7 days notice prior to the date of the class. If you miss the 7 day deadline and still need to cancel there is a 50% processing fee.

Refunds are not offered for cancellations within 48 hours of the class date, day-of cancellations, or no-shows.
