What We'll Explore:

  • Pottery Adventures: Get your hands dirty with clay! We'll delve into the world of pottery, learning both handbuilding techniques (like coil pots and pinch pots) and the thrilling challenge of wheel throwing. Create unique and functional pieces to cherish.

  • Painting & Drawing Delights: Discover the magic of color and line! We'll experiment with various painting styles and drawing techniques, from observational sketches to expressive abstract art.

  • Sculpture Creations: Build and mold your imagination into three-dimensional masterpieces. Explore different materials and methods to bring your sculptural visions to life.

Ages 11 - 15 

Daily Itinerary:

  • 8:45-9:15 am - Drop Off + Art Activity Warm Up

  • 9:15-10:45 am - Pottery Exploration (Handbuilding)

  • 10:45-11 am - Snack Break

  • 11 am-12 pm - Art Exploration (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Collage)

  • 12-1 pm - Lunch + Recreation Break

  • 1-2:30 pm - Pottery Exploration (Wheel Throwing)

  • 2:30-2:45 - Snack Break

  • 2:45-3:45 - Art Exploration Continued from the AM (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Collage)

  • 3:45-4:15 pm - Art Activity Cool Down + Pick Up

Art activities will vary each week so your camper can join us for summer camp more than once!

LUNCH: Each camper should bring clearly labeled bagged lunch and a bottle of water each day.

Maximum of 7 campers.

Note: Summer camps meet for 7 hours (9 am - 4 pm) Monday through Friday. You can pick up your finished clay pieces 2-4 weeks after the camp ends.

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellation updates must be done through email to hello@spgalleryva.com.

If you need to cancel your booking and would like a full refund we require 7 days notice prior to the date of the class. If you miss the 7 day deadline and still need to cancel there is a 50% processing fee.

Refunds are not offered for cancellations within 48 hours of the class date, day-of cancellations, or no-shows.
